These are a series of photos taken during my combat deployment to Iraq. We spent the deployment detached from our company in a forward operating base in the Al Albar region in-between the cities of Ramadi and Fallujah nicknamed “The Ranch”. With a small group of 28 individuals made up of Marines, Soldiers and Navy Corpsman we conducted operations and security patrols throughout the area. I captured the day to day life through the lens of my Contax t2 and 40 rolls of black and white film. These are the photos from the first 20 rolls.
